Music is life. I've been blessed with opportunities to enjoy all forms of music, all types of instruments, and the freedom to explore the international music scene for many years. Below is a list of music that is influence in the music I write. In order to fund the cost of having a web site, I have links to the artists for Amazon as a way to pay for the hosting fees associated with running this site. If you like what you find, buy it. Otherwise, enjoy the review. |

Kings of Convenience A favorite group of mine that I like to chill with. They are the Simon and Garfunkel of the decade. Riot on an Empty Street is the second favorite to their remix album called VERSUS. |
Zero 7 Continuing the focus on chill music, Zero 7 tops the list. |
Peter Gabriel A long time favorite of me and my family. This is the first Artist I can remember growing up. So much of my early years were spent enjoying PG for hours at a time. |
Nine Inch Nails A personal favorite of my dads. Trent Reznor may go down in history as the mozart of the 21st Century. His music and lyrics speaks volumes and has blown out a few of my speakers over the years. |
Fatboy Slim Wow. This is a tough one. He is amazing. Each sucessive album since I started listening to him (Better Living Through Chemistry) has been better than the last. A big influence on how I saw music. Norman Cook is an Excellent sampling artist. |
Moby I guess this is the artist that best represents where I'd like to be in the world. He's much more popular in Europe than in America. Many people have heard his songs used in Commercials, Movies, and Radio without really knowing who he is. |
Paul Simon I only know him as a solo artist and not from when he was part of Simon and Garfunkel back in the 60's. His song writing is brilliant, and his music writing wry and beautiful at the same time. Graceland and Your the One both sit highly on my shelf of music even my Grandparents can tolerate! |

Underworld Everything Everything, Pearl's Girl, 100 Days Off. These are a few of the albums I have of theirs that I toss in the car when I want to get somewhere fast. Their live concert DVD shows just how great live electronic music is. |
Lemon Jelly A late find that flipped my world. Europe has got to have the best music artists bar-none. Lemon Jelly's music (outside of their latest album) really gets me in a good mood and expands the mind without the need of chemicals. |
James Tim Booth's vocals and a great band to boot. They had over 15 years of making music together before breaking up in 2002. This is a great example of how well a band can work together. Nothing has come about since that time, but Tim did return to create his own solo album, Bone. |
Ok Go I first heard them on This American Life when they performed at the live show and just had to have their CD. Fresh rock with snappy lyrics and something better than Brittney Spears to boot. |
Beck This man sets the standard for alternative music starting for me with his first recording with Geffen (Mellow Gold) and keeping up the pace of wild music genre flips with each follow-up. Sea Change came out at a perfect time in my life and has become a standard for when I'm feeling down. |
